Obituary for Marion Veneziano
Mrs. Marion Veneziano, 88, of Middle Village, New York, passed away on September 2, 2019.
The funeral service will be held at St. Margaret’s Church, Saturday, September 7, 66-05 79th Place, Middle Village, NY. Visitation will be held at Village Chapels, 67-67 Elliot Avenue, Middle Village, NY. Thursday and Friday, September 5th and 6th, 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Burial will follow the funeral at Linden Hill Cemetery.
Marion was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 15, 1931. She graduated from Bushwick High School.
Marion was married to the love of her life, Anthony Veneziano on February 14, 1953; they were happily married 50 years when he preceded her in death in June 2003.
Marion worked as a book keeper but is best known as one of the original proprietors and founders of the well known clothing store Cato’s Army & Navy Store in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Beloved mother to her children Edward, Carl, Marianne and Anthony, grandchildren, Christina, Gary, Jr., Dain, and Britney, and great-grandchildren, Julia and Zachary.
She will be sorely missed.
