Obituary for Victoria "Vicky" Vicente

Julia Victoria Vicente “Vicky”

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Julia Victoria Vicente (Vicky), our loving and
devoted Great-great grandmother, grandmother, mother, wife and friend to all whose lives she touched
on September 23, 2022. Vicky was born on God’s Day Sunday December 22, 1935 to parents Julio and
Domitila Vicente in Guayama Puerto Rico. She was one of 15 children and the eldest of the remaining
eleven siblings. Vicky loved and helped her parents raise her brothers and sisters and tended to them
with a maternal instinct from a very young age. Vicky is survived by her husband of 67 years Israel
Vicente and 4 of her 5 beautiful children. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and devoted her
time and heart to the Roman Catholic Church. She attended mass everyday of the year and made many
beautiful friendships through her religious community. She took all of her grandkids and friends to
church on Saturday’s and was part of the “Blue Army of the Virgin Mary”. She taught us all to believe in
something greater and kinder. She taught prayer and volunteered making rosary beads for those
praying the rosary. Vicky will always be remembered for her angelic disposition and kind heart. Vicky
was the kindest, friendliest person you could ever met and this is expressed by everyone who has been
blessed to have met her. We are all very saddened by her loss but know she is now an angel in Heaven.
