Obituary for Eileen Viola
It is with great sadness that the family of Eileen Viola announces her sudden passing on January 18th, 2023 at the age of 94.
Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her brother Robert, her five children, Maureen (Pollina) and Jim, Linda (Tuthill) and Rich, David and Cathy, Peter and Maureen, and Matthew and Carrie; grandchildren Rachael, Julia, Steven, Mark, Sara, Tom, Mallory, Dayna, Ethan, Regina, and John, as well as her eleven great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents Rose and Fred Schreiber, her husband, John Viola, her son, Johnny, and siblings, Doris, Helen, and Freddy.
Eileen was active in her parish community by serving as a Eucharistic minister and member of the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed reading, bingo, doing puzzles with her family, watching Jeopardy, and playing card games. What she loved most of all was being together with her family on holidays, and annual vacations in Pennsylvania and Villa Roma.
Eileen was deeply religious. She was a role model for all her children and grandchildren by the thoughtful life she lived. Despite her large family, Eileen always made time for everyone and was a source of wisdom and strength for all of us. We were truly made better for having had her in our lives. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she will be reunited with her dear husband John, when, as she often said "I go to my reward."
